Monsters And Dames process 1

I'll be attending the Emerald City Comic Con next year. My second time at the Seattle show, and growing to be a favorite on the con circuit.

Last year I believe was the first time that they produced a nice art book by a selection of guests at the show, as a local fundraiser. The theme of it was "Monsters & Dames" and printed by Brandstudios Press (one of the sweet independent publishers of fine art books). They're doing it again for next year's show and I'm currently working on a piece for it.

Took me awhile to sort of narrow down the sort of creature/girl combo I wanted, but I've finally arrived on a beauty riding an abominable snowman. hah Of course mine more resembles a big ol Kong sized snow ape rather than any recognizable Yeti, but thems the breaks.

Here are some of the roughs as I go about stumbling...nay crashing... towards some kind of finished result.
