Hey cool, lol. I've been following this title now since the old Loeb and McGuinness run from Public Enemies. Who knew I'd run into someone on Deviant who's continued the work on one of my favorite titles.
First off, Grats on your first project with DC...first of many more than likely. Second...great inking you have. Very clean and open. I have a problem with wanting to add too much with my inks and not save room for my colors.
I just googled him up, and it's strange that though he first apeared in 1970, I don't seem to remember coming across him in any of the DC comics I used to read and collect as a child! And you're very welcome
I think he's getting more comfortable streamlining it as a mix between his own styling and Mignola, at least when it comes to Batman. That's my feeling anyways. He'd probably say something totally different
I've always loved his stuff...and I hate compairing him to anybody but yeah his mignola vibe is kinda getting into a Gil Kane vibe (least on supes here) Its like he's found that style inbetween mignola and kane.
Interesting. I never thought seeing Gil in there. I know he's drawn Bats more than Supes, so he's kind of gotten into a comfortable feel with Bats...but I know initially he was still trying to figure out how he'd interpret the big S.
