Like him or hate him, I thought it would be fun to draw the new Captain America design that Alex Ross helped create. Normally I hate redesigns, but for some reason....I don't mind this one. Or at least I'm impartial to it. It keeps some of the things that we associate with Cap (the shield, wings, red white & blue). And maybe I'm just reading into it, but it sort of has an almost pulp feel to him...like something from the era of The Shadow. Maybe it's just the black in his uniform and the gun.

Anyways I think it's kind of an interesting look. Plus I like how they incorporated the old shield design shape into his chest. Might be a bit too shiny and glossy and beetle borgish on the metal finish they decided to go with. But no prob.

Of course for all the haters, the classic Cap will be back eventually. And we also have the Ultimates version. Until then...here ya go.
